Hello,

For a few days now, when I open a game, this message appears: "Unable to continue using the application. The extension for the following applications is corrupted. To launch the following applications, start by deleting them from the PS4, then reinstall them." I have deleted the saved data and nothing, I deleted the game and re-downloaded it, still nothing, I completely reset my PS4 and re-downloaded the game again, and the message is still there.

Can someone please help me?

I was playing Ark .. and all the other games wouldn’t work as long as the Ark disc was in the console..

By removing the disc .. the error message for the other games no longer appears!

Good evening, thank you very much for your explanation. I appreciate it. For me, it was GTA that didn't want to function on disc, but now that I've removed it, no more messages are appearing and the games launch like before. Thank you a thousand times!!!

Launch YouTube and then launch your game and that's it

Thank you, Moha, it worked for me. I launched YouTube and didn't close it; then I launched the game. Despite that, I received a message saying it was corrupted, and when I closed it, it was the YouTube app that closed, and the game works. A big thank you!

Hello

I have the same problem, I launched YouTube but it didn't help, what should I do specifically please?

You launch YouTube, then press the PS button or turn on your controller, and then you start the game you want. After receiving the message that blocks the game, you close it, and then YouTube closes, and the game works.

Hello

To solve the following problem, you will simply need to clean your disk with a glass cleaner preferably.

Good evening,

I apologize in advance for not being able to provide an answer to this issue.

I have exactly the same problem and I tried the same things without success as well.

I will check back here regularly to see if anyone has a solution. It was just to raise awareness.

I'm getting a bit desperate here. I've never seen this message before.

Aside from replacing the console, I'm starting to think there's nothing to be done. ????

Hello,

I have the same problem, I bought a PS4 but the message still shows up, I'm wondering if it's not the account or something like that.

Hello, I had the same problem with my GTA V on CD, it never worked. So I went to the settings, then to the system and error history. You click on the error, then press triangle for help with errors. Basically, you need to reinstall the database. So, you have to turn off the PS4 by pressing the power button for 3 seconds. Once it's off, you turn it back on by holding the button down and wait for the second beep, then release. It will take you to safe mode, and then you can rebuild the database, and your game will work.

It's simple:

remove the disc from your PS4 and launch the game you want, and that's it, man.

If the disc is the game you want to play, try deleting it and reinstalling it.

Otherwise, another solution:

completely turn off the PS4, once it's off, press and hold the power button on the Play until the second beep, and then a screen will appear. Connect the controller with the charger to the Play, press the PS button, select the option "rebuild database," and then the Play will start up normally, and your games will gradually reappear.

Just change the CD because it must be scratched.

Hello, I'm having the same problems.

On most games and all the time.

Can't play 3/4 of the games.

Still no solutions?

Hello!

I have exactly the same problem when I try to play a game with a disc, it shows me this...

I have never encountered this problem before, though?

I’ve tried several methods, safe mode by rebuilding the database, taking out the disc, and uninstalling and reinstalling, and it happens with several games and not just one?

Has anyone found a solution to this issue, please? I’m really stressed lol

Scratched CD

As for me, I wanted to play a game that I bought on the PlayStation. But my son played just before and left his scratched CD in the PlayStation, I just took it out..

I had this problem not even 10 minutes ago, if you have a disc in your PlayStation, take it out.

And once it is removed, we can no longer use the application.

Hello, so I kept it simple and for now it works.

You need to go to settings, storage, press on options and scroll down to select "media player" then delete it, afterwards restart the games and it should work, I did it like this for my battlefront II which wasn't installing correctly.

Hello, I have a problem with my Battlefront II, but I can't find a media player, probably because I have it on CD... So I don't know what to do. Could you please describe your process in more detail?

Hello, it seems that I also had the same problem and what I did was:

close the app, then remove the disc, restart the PS4, then put the disc back in, reinstall it, enter the game, then close it and restart the game. If the message comes back, close the game, then relaunch it, and normally it should be fine.

If the problem persists and it didn't work, I apologize, but if it doesn't work, you'll need to see a specialist.

Basically, there's a corrupted extension, so you shouldn't install this extension.

Hello, I have the exact same problem. You need to remove the disc from the console, and it only works for the main game, well the one on the disc. I don't have the solution, good luck.
