Unable to purchase space for my personal Gmail account

Hello everyone,

After several years of satisfactory use, I have finally reached the 15GB of free storage that Google provides to its users. I would like to purchase additional space.

Following the procedure (see the link at the bottom), I get the result "Google One is not yet available for your Google account." I can see that my country is not listed where the "Google One" product is available. What should I do in this case? Connect to a private VPN and try again?

This situation is extremely critical because it means I will no longer be able to receive emails.

If anyone has dealt with this difficulty before, I would appreciate a solution.

Thank you.

I have the same issue as you and I can't seem to find a solution. My coworker switched to Google One without any problems and I live in New Caledonia.

I have contacted Google about this but I'm not getting any answers.

If anyone has a solution, that would be great.

Same here,

I live in New Caledonia, and it's impossible to buy space....

No solution is possible, except to create a new Gmail account, using a VPN in France to avoid falling into this maze with the new account....

Hello

Google has explained what is counted to calculate the 15 GB; there are several types of files, so we can free up space initially. Here’s the link for those who don’t know how to free this space:

And for countries that do not have access to Google One in particular,

a large portion of these files are probably quite old. Rather than risking the deletion of all your emails or photos,

consider the current decrease in prices for physical disk storage (60 times 15 GB is several years of documents for a very large number of people).

These "backups" at home will no longer be counted by Google in the 15 GB and remain easily accessible on a daily basis.
