Hello,

I can't seem to find the drivers for the following two items under Windows 10:

SM Bus Controller: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C22&SUBSYS_85341043&REV_05

Unknown device: ACPI\VEN_PNP&DEV_0a0a

Can you help me?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

    Hello,

    Try these 2 drivers:
    --> Chipset
    --> ACPI

    Hello,

First of all, could you please provide us with more information to make it easier to assist you:

    - Is it a desktop or a laptop?
    - Is it custom-built or pre-built (if pre-built, what brand is it)?
    - A screenshot of the Device Manager (right-click on the Windows icon)

    Best regards.

Hello kaneagle, (& WiseControl (see below)),

Thank you very much kaneagle for your quick response.

I have installed these 2 drivers. The UEFI has been updated and the 2 reports are no longer present.

Since these updates, a new Unknown Device report is now displayed in "Other devices in the control panel:

    ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&DAB3FF&0

    Can you still help me?

    Thank you in advance

    P.S.:

In response to WiseControl, whom I also thank, the computer is a second-hand Desktop PC that I just acquired and am setting up with a new SSD under Windows 10.

I was unable to attach a screenshot of the Control Panel in this message.

    Thank you, WiseControl.

    Best regards.

    Hello kaneagle,

    Thank you for your follow-up.

During the installation of the driver with AMDA00\X64\, I received the following message:

"Windows encountered a problem while installing these drivers on your device:

Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while trying to install them."

Moreover, I notice that when the computer is turned off using "Start, Shut Down," the computer continues to run, the internal fans are spinning, and the power button remains lit. It is then necessary to press and hold the power button for 5 to 6 seconds to "forcefully" shut down the computer. It then starts up without any apparent issues.

I look forward to hearing from you, with my gratitude for your help in resolving my requests.

    Best regards.

I always get the same result:

In "Events" of "Unknown Device Properties", the following appears:

            Timestamp column: "12/12/2022 20:49:29"

And in the Description column: "Device installation requested"

Below, in the "Information" column, it displays:

"The ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&data3ff&0 device requires that the installation be continued"

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks again for your follow-up.

    Best regards.

    I have 11 optional updates.

How can I send you the list of these updates so that you can determine whether or not to apply them?

    Run an SFC:
    Windows key + X
    Select --> Windows PowerShell (admin)
Type --> sfc /scannow and press enter

A system file check will be performed.

    Hello kaneagle,

Sfc /scannow found no integrity violations.

    Should I reinstall Windows 10?

    Best regards.

    Hello kaneagle,

Now that the festivities are over, I performed the "Windows repair without losing data" as you suggested.

The unknown device is no longer reported, but there is a notification under system devices about the Intel(R) Management Engine Interface: "Windows has stopped this device because it has problems. (Code 43)." In detail, I find:

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C3A&SUBSYS_85341043&REV_04

    What do you think?

    Best regards.
