Identifying the keyboard on my Lenovo laptop

Solved

Hello,

I bought a second-hand laptop but I can't figure out what kind of keyboard it has.

It's in AZERTY, but regarding the accented letters and punctuation (bottom row after N), it's not consistent with the French version (see photo).

Does anyone have an idea which country this keyboard comes from?

Unknown keyboard?

Thanks in advance for any help

hello

it's a Belgian keyboard, the @ is on the 2 key

on a French keyboard it's on the 0

you need to add the French/Belgian keyboard layout

@+

Thank you for this response, however I am well aware of the method to localize the keyboard on Windows, and that is not the issue.

The question is simple: It is about identifying this keyboard from the photo by looking at the keys in the top row and the bottom row, to the right of the N.

What country is assigned to this keyboard?

Hello,

This type of keyboard doesn't really have a name, although some call it "inverted AZERTY"... It is a Belgian AZERTY keyboard but with the layout of the symbols at the bottom according to the QWERTY model.

In my opinion, you must have bought this PC second-hand and the previous user migrated the PC from QWERTY to AZERTY, thinking it would work correctly (See.CCM), but I could be wrong...

Best regards.

Thank you Wise control for putting me on the right track. I hadn't imagined that the keyboard could have been modified, trusting the seller at first glance of AZERTY.

Upon examining the photo of the Dell item, I immediately realized that the keys had been rearranged from QWERTY to AZERTY, hence the somewhat exotic nature of this keyboard.

Problem solved after restoring the key caps to their original state and applying the English_US setting for the keyboard (it's worth noting that for US, the 3 is associated with #. For UK, the 3 is associated with £).

Sincerely
