Mac OS 10.6.8 and Safari cannot open.

Hello everyone,
I have an old Mac mini running version 10.6.8, kernel version Darwin 10.8.0, and I'm facing some difficulties with it.
I'll admit that I'm not the most tech-savvy person, and I've searched the forums and looked in the Mac help before bothering you, but I'm stuck now.
I can open Safari without any problems, but then when I try to go to a page, it doesn't open, and it says Safari can't open the page.
I thought it might be a settings issue at first, so I checked Safari/preferences/security, and then privacy and extensions.
In security, all the boxes are checked (fraudulent sites, web content, and internet plugins).
In privacy, there's nothing special, and in extensions, it's empty.
Then I thought maybe I needed to upgrade my system, but the same... I can't access the Apple Store.
Could someone please help me?
Thank you in advance.

OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) is an old system (August 2009) and it's not surprising that you're encountering issues. Security requirements have evolved so much since then that the browsers from that time can hardly do anything. Maybe look into older versions of Firefox to see if things work better than with Safari.
To know if your Mac can upgrade, you should describe precisely what model it is (check via the Apple menu "About This Mac"), what its RAM specifications are, etc.
Hello at your place!

Thank you for these initial elements.
Here is what my computer indicates:
Mac OS X version 10.6.8
Processor 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
I know it’s a very old machine but I have Word/Excel/PowerPoint installed on it and it’s very handy.
My only problem is my internet access.
I can access the search bar, I type in the site I want to go to (let’s say Nord VPN for example) and when I click on the link that’s where my problems start… Safari cannot open the page because it cannot establish a secure connection to the server.
I’ve cleared my history, the caches, checked the date and time, no browser extensions, disabled IPv6…
Still no result. I feel like something is blocking the page because I have internet access and I can open the browser.

According to your indications, it apparently concerns a model from early 2006 or late 2006. These models cannot go beyond Snow Leopard, so there is no migration possible.
The solution should consist of installing Firefox version 45.9esr (the last compatible version) to be downloaded from this page.
