Philips Ambilight White Flash TV

Hello,

I bought a second-hand Philips Ambilight TV and when it's turned off, the Ambilight system flashes white. Can you tell me if it's a setting that needs to be adjusted or if it's faulty?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Hello,

What's the model of this Philips television?

    Just in case, see https://www.philips.fr/c-f/XC000010535/comment-faire-pour-r%C3%A9gler-ambilight-

Yes, I tested it but there are still these flashes. I even put it on immediate power-off after the TV goes into standby and it still flashes.

What is an immediate power shutdown after sleep mode? Did you unplug the television?

With the television unplugged, the flash may still work for a bit, until the capacitors discharge...

To me, you haven't completely turned off the ambilight.

It's indicated in the manual that it prevents the power-off from happening gradually.
Yet, if I put it on standby before turning it off...

When the TV is unplugged, the flash stops.

The flashes are quite random, I'd say once every hour or half-hour; I haven't timed it.
