Hello everyone,

I have an Alcatel OS6360-P48X switch on which I am self-training on the configuration.

The problem is that I am stuck on the login for it.

I must have missed a command during the account change because when I try to log in, it says: "Authentication failure: User does not have access privilege." And the default admin account no longer works.

So, is there a way to do a factory reset of the switch without having access (like on Cisco, for example)?

Because online, I have only found tutorials that require being logged in.

Hello,

I have never operated an Alcatel switch, but the factory reset exists on almost all network products worthy of the name, and even on some that are not worthy, that’s exactly when it’s useful.

And there you go, here it is ....

But oh my, the line spacing is so annoying!!

Hello, I'm following up on your post to see if you managed to find a solution because I want to restore my switch from the same game to factory settings, but I can't find anything to do it.

Hello Laze,

I finally managed to recover the "Admin" account of my switch, so I was able to manipulate the vcsetup and vcboot files to start over with a fresh install.
