QWERTY keyboard accent problem

hello,

I have a QWERTY keyboard but I can’t type the accents the way I want

when I press Windows to search for an app, for example,
I type:
"ctrl" + " , " + "c" to get ç
"ctrl" + " ' " + "e" to get é
etc...
and the accents work

the problem is that on Discord/Chrome/Notepad, the accents don’t display but when I press Windows it works

any ideas? thanks

    Hi,

Take a photo of your keyboard.

Because there are practical arrangements regarding what your keyboard allows you to do.

But in QWERTY, it’s still Canada, or Multilingual Standard Canadian, or Canadian French (Heritage)

Ironically Multilingual Standard Canadian allows more with a French Canada keyboard.

Canadian French (Heritage) may be more suited to an EN US keyboard

      thanks for replying so quickly,

in Windows I go to 'add a language' then I search for Canada, it offers me "English (Canada)"
I add it and activate it but I have the same issue as with "English (USA)"

I just discovered that by setting myself to "English (International)" my accents work everywhere except that the shortcuts change

      "ctrl" + " , " + "c" to produce a ç "USA"
      "alt" + " , " to produce a ç "International"

so I think everything is fine... I should have looked better on my side

it's been days that I've been trying to find a solution and I find it myself 2 minutes after asking for help...

      thanks and sorry

Haven't you looked for other languages?

When I use a French Canadian ISO file to install, everything is included.

      For € it's Ctrl + Alt + E

      Otherwise I have everything /éèçàùëïäâê

French Canadian keyboards are harder to find than English US

With English US, you are limited on the French side.

I type "french", it finds me "français canada"
I tried but it doesn't work, the accents are not correct

I type "canad", it finds me "english canada"
doesn't work either, no accent or otherwise it's another shortcut

      here is the keyboard
