Tuya app partially in Chinese

Hello,

I have a connected pellet stove with a Wi-Fi box using the Tuya app for its operation.

I quickly paired my stove with my phone via Tuya, everything works remotely but part of the programming is written... in Chinese. Initially, I contacted Tuya who replied that it's a problem to resolve with the manufacturer of the Wi-Fi box... the seller of the box vaguely explains that it's a Chinese product (big surprise!) and that other customers have the same problem, while others do not, basically figure it out!

Despite several uninstallations and installations of the app and the device in question, the problem persists.

Thank you for your help

    Hello.

It would be good to specify which WiFi box you are talking about (exact brand and model).

If you don't have the option to change the language in the app settings, there's nothing you can do about it.

    Hello tonydudoubs,

If it can help you, in Chinese, it's written "not yet defined" (according to Google Translate, in your screenshot there).

On the Tuya website, we also find this: https://support.tuya.com/en/help/_detail/K9hutqkebzml6, but if you say that the content is "partially" in Chinese, it is possible that the language of the application is not the issue.

It's surprising that you have nothing on the casing, since it is a radio-electric device, it should have a CE marking with at least one number allowing identification of the marked equipment (type, batch, or serial) and the identification of the manufacturer or importer.

If you determine the IP address of this equipment on your wifi network, you can try to connect to it using a browser. Sometimes, these devices have an interface accessible this way, allowing access to device settings.

A program like this one https://angryip.org/ (free software) allows you to scan your local network to identify the IP addresses that are connected to it.

Once you have this IP address, you type it into your browser from your local wifi network and see if an interface appears.

That's a very good idea. I will take care of it as soon as I return from my trip and will come back to share my experience. Thank you and have a good evening.
