Hello,

Founded in 2010, Redmi, the young brand, has suddenly broken through in recent years. Surely taking advantage of Huawei's downfall, it has become the favorite of budget Androids today. But behind these competition beasts that last a long time, one starts to wonder how to keep the market going with customers. How to get them to buy new phones again. The obvious answer: planned obsolescence. Here we have a good case. Following many updates, Redmi has, I believe, chosen to make the buttons on its devices malfunction. Don't rush to buy another one and use the conformity law that guarantees any product in the EU for a duration of two years. My phone is glitching. I'm fed up. The + button activates by itself and puts the phone in BIOS mode..... What to do? Nothing - a good punch to the phone. Wait 6 hours. If it's still glitching, run speed 6 on the Thermomix and cook for 2 hours at 210°C in the oven.

Serve hot

    Hello,

It's very trendy to invoke the conspiracy of planned obsolescence whenever something stops working.

As often, it is more readily found not in the user's mind but in their hands or pocket.

One thing is for sure, it's low cost and there’s a reason for that: the components are less solid and less well-finished than those of more expensive devices, with a shorter lifespan, especially since there might be uncareful handling or lack of protective casing: under these conditions, you get what you pay for; you are more likely to have a poor quality of manufacturing and components, made imperative by the price, rather than a deliberate intention to limit the device's lifespan.
