HELLO TO YOU,

I would like to thank you for listening to my request. Recently, the screen of my laptop (Sony Vaio model SVE1512H1EW) was cracked. Not having enough money to replace it, I decided to connect it via a VGA cable to an external monitor. Fortunately, it worked well. However, after a while, this connection no longer works on my Philips monitor model number 170B8 (which only has a VGA output), but it still works on the family screen.

My Philips monitor displays the message: << NO VIDEO INPUT>>

Any idea about the cause and the method(s) to resolve this issue?

Okay.. but is this family screen also connected via VGA?
It's to eliminate the possibility that the cable is causing issues.. if you are using the same cable of course!
