Disabling the microphone on a hands-free kit for Android

Hello,

I had to buy myself headphones with built-in microphone to have a USB-C connector instead of a jack.

However, these headphones offer a microphone feature. It might be useful for me later, but for now I prefer just to listen because when I settle down, the slightest noise is interpreted as a voice command.

Do you know how to disable the microphone of the headphones on Android?

Thanks!

    Hello,

I know it's not exactly what you’re asking, but if it’s Google Assistant that detects it, there’s an option to disable "OK Google". See if that improves the situation?

Thank you for your response, but it’s not just Google Assistant unfortunately. There are also features like "pause" and volume increase that get activated which I would like to disable.

Actually, I need a simple headphone feature, just like in the good old days :)

In the permissions of each problematic app, there might be a way to disable microphone access? It also seems to me that in the developer options (tap several times on the build number in the "about phone" section to unlock this menu) there is an option to disable "USB audio routing"
