Hello,
I own a Samsung Galaxy S22. I'm using the updated Mood messaging app, but I can't disable the phone's default messaging app because the "Disable" button in the app settings is grayed out. So, when I receive an SMS, I get a double notification, one from Mood and also one from the default messaging app. I also want to point out that in the phone's system settings and in Mood's settings, I have set Mood as the default messaging app.
I'm attaching some screenshots.
In the fourth screenshot, the notification from the default messaging app appears in black above the red notification from Mood below.
Could you please help me?
Thank you

PS:
I'm sorry for the screenshot links, but when I use the "Link" button, once I validate the post, it appears as text, and if I go through the "Image" button, once I validate the post, it only shows one out of four..

For a solution to the screenshot issue, please send me a private message to avoid cluttering the post.

    Hello,

In fact, there are probably originally two messaging apps installed:

Neither of these apps can be uninstalled.

If they continue to appear, you can stop them and remove notifications by going to Settings => Applications
(I believe you know how to do this).

I do not understand the 4th screenshot. Since I don't have Mood, I can't see what it corresponds to.

I also notice from your screenshots that you are on Wi-Fi, which means you cannot receive SMS or MMS. Unless you have a very limited plan, leave mobile data enabled.

Regarding the screenshots, I am not responding to you in private message because it is prohibited by the charter, and what I write may interest other people.

To post an image, you use the icon

In the window that opens, click on Choose a file, which will open Windows Explorer to select the file.
The first URL box will fill up automatically.
Check the boxes I indicated and confirm by OK.

What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.

Thank you for your response. In the fourth screenshot, the Mood floating notification is actually hidden under the black floating notification. (see the screenshot below) taken after closing the black floating notification.
Google Messaging is already disabled, in addition to having disabled notifications for it; I have also disabled notifications for Samsung Messaging. Regarding Wi-Fi, it has nothing to do with the ability to receive SMS and MMS. An internet plan was indeed necessary to receive MMS 15 years ago, or perhaps it may depend on the operator, but with mine, I don't have this problem. The fact that it is indicated as enabled in my screenshot is solely because it was used to send the screenshots to my cloud.

    Hello,
Last night I finally solved my problem by digging into the settings!
In fact, I had to go to "Settings" -> "Notifications" and disable Mood from the list of suggested applications!
Thank you for the image tutorial and for your help! ^^

P.S.: I think it would be good to change the title to "Samsung Galaxy S22 - Remove the double notification for SMS and MMS.."

      Thank you for the feedback.

I will modify the title (taking into account the number of characters).

      Have a nice evening!
