Hello,

I recently got a Dell XPS 13 9305 and I'm having trouble making French quotation marks with my keyboard. I only have these: '' '', can you please help me?

Thank you to the person/people who will respond to this message :)

    Hello,

Generally, they automatically replace the " with the " in software that has this feature (like Word, for example).

Here, you didn’t specify which software you’re trying to do this in.

At worst, you can create them using the key combination ALT + 0171 and ALT + 0187 « »

      Hello,

The alt+ key combinations are unusable on this computer which does not have a numeric keypad! This is a common issue with Dell.

There is still the character map.

        Hello,

I understand better now why nothing was working when I tried to make those combinations. Thank you for your response!

        Hello,

The easiest thing is to buy a numeric keypad that connects via USB. Some come with USB outputs, which helps avoid losing a port. The price is quite low (around €20). It can be a handy solution.

Simply try SHIFT 2 at the beginning and SHIFT2 at the end.

It's easier to type the < and the > sign twice to get <<xxxx>>.

Yes but... they're not really the quotation marks....
