Steam Installation the destination folder must be empty.

Solved

Hello, another time I installed Steam on my PC but I always ended up uninstalling it, and now I want to reinstall it. So I click on the icon to start the process, I click next, next, next, install, and there my problem is that it says "the destination folder must be empty" and that prevents me from downloading it.

    Hello.

Delete the folder of the old Steam installation, it's on C in programs, or create a new Steam folder and install Steam in that folder which you specify at the beginning of the installation.

      Hello,

even once I do this after installation, an error message appears saying: Steam cannot be launched from a non-ASCII folder.

What should I do? Thank you in advance.

The best thing to do is to move your games from the common folder (copy/paste them elsewhere) then completely uninstall Steam from programs and applications, and check if there are no more Steam and steamapps folders in drives C, E, F, J, G, etc...

Then reinstall Steam wherever you want https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/client/installer/SteamSetup.exe

and put your games back in steamapps > common > your games
