Otherwise, you might also try changing the font through the phone's settings.

Have you recently installed an application? Related to emoticons or not? A pack?
If so, it may be the source of your problem, please uninstall it.

I recommend doing the basics:
1- Clear the app's cache.
2- Uninstall Fb
3- Reinstall
