Hello,
the traffic service is not working on the GO 5200 that I just bought, and the GPRS status shows disconnected. What can I do?

    Hello,

This is not a HiFi equipment but a TomTom GPS; I don't know this model.

First of all, we need to have purchased a model equipped with this lifetime Traffic subscription option.

It is supposed to activate automatically, but only within 48 hours; I read (but refer to the manual) that, otherwise, the GPS menu has an activation option (similarly, there are "danger zones" with a free subscription on one of my Garmins, but they only work if you activate that subscription, not on the GPS itself but via Garmin Express on a PC).

It is also mentioned, which seems silly, but anyway, that GPRS connection does not occur in the presence of a competing connection, put differently, if at the same time the GPS is connected via WiFi to the phone.

Hello, thank you for your response. I thought I was on transport.
The GO 5200 model does indeed have the lifetime Traffic subscription option. I have performed a reset but nothing has changed.
I will try to contact TomTom services, it's not easy to find the answer.
    Best regards.
