Hello, I recently bought a cassette, and when I put it in my portable cassette player, the sound was slowed down and a bit distorted.
If I leave it running, after 5 seconds it stops.
However, I don't think the problem comes from my player because I tested it with other cassettes, and there is no issue.
My player is a Philips automatic stop (AM/FM stereo tuner) AQ6591.

Hello,
The winding of the spool may not be smooth?
Or is it a cassette longer than 90 minutes?
Fast forwarding to the end and then rewinding it may help. -
Maybe the cassette is twisted and not smooth; the cause of this is generally that the cassette has bent its (magnetic) tape in a turn and has continued to be used. You just need to straighten that bend to get it to play carefully.
