Microsoft Account Blocking My Computer Startup. :'(

Hello, I'm here because I've tried just about everything, well, everything I know to solve my problem.

Let me explain, since the update of my computer, it tells me that my PIN has been changed. I no longer have access to my computer's desktop, which limits my range of possible actions.

It then offers me to create a new PIN, but the problem is that my email address is not displayed, but a similar email address with a spelling mistake.
Example:

The original: tata.yoyo@hotmail.com
The issue: tata.yoyo@homtail.com

Extremely problematic because they send the confirmation emails to this second address which, by the way, simply does not exist according to Hotmail...

All the actions I can take seem to be linked at some point to this infamous address...
This completely blocks my computer; it doesn't even offer me the option to log in with a guest account :/

I've run all the possible troubleshooting through the startup commands.
I've even tried to initiate a reinstallation of the computer, thinking that it would dissociate this wrong address from my computer, but no, nothing works; my computer is linked to this address... please help me :'(

    Hello,

Your story is a bit odd. Can you at least log into your Microsoft account?

      Hello,

Of course, I am currently logged in on my desktop computer, the link provided to connect to Microsoft is asking for my real email address, no mistake, everything is working properly.

By the way, I can see the icon of my laptop on the Microsoft site, in the "Devices" category...
This means that it was originally connected to my correct address, and not to a glitchy address :/

On the login page, do you have no way to change profile? Can you take a screenshot of the session?

No, there's no way. I'll send you two photos. The first one is when I turn on the computer.

The second one is when I click on "set up my PIN" ... the problem is that from there, no matter what I try, everything is linked to the wrong email address; whatever I do, it's tied to my computer.

I tried to create a new account, and they tell me that the "Homtail..." account is already in use on this computer and that I have to use it.

And in your second photo, can't you remove the address to put the correct one?

Yes, I have obviously already tried all these simple things... When I enter the correct one, it then asks me for my password to change the PIN, and then: Error, we were unable to change your PIN

Then it offers me to either: "skip the step" or "try again"

When I skip => Return to the screen in the first photo.
When I try again => Error, we were unable to change your PIN.

      There you go.

This is the first time I've seen this phenomenon :-\

Silly question, but have you tried entering your password even with the wrong email address?

Try that, but I'm not sure if it will let you since it might ask for the password:

    Try:

    => On the login screen
=> Press the shift key (the arrow pointing up above ctrl on the bottom left)
=> While holding it down, restart the PC (bottom right)
=> You will arrive at the startup options, release shift
=> Click on Troubleshoot => Advanced options => -> System Restore. => Check if there is a restore point before your problem; if so, start it

If nothing works, I think the best thing would be to contact Microsoft technicians:

Hi, I tried the password on the wrong address but it doesn't work since the address doesn't exist as "Homtail."

I've already done system restorations, I even uninstalled the latest updates... just in case?
But no, I've attempted pretty much everything I could, I even created a new user that I made Admin through the command prompt, to no avail.

I contacted Microsoft support in writing, I think he understood the problem halfway because his responses were... very vague :/ he finally advised me to reinstall Windows but I don't know how to do it and I'm afraid of losing years of life files :(

he advised me to reinstall Windows in the end but I don't know how to do it and I'm afraid of losing years of life files :(

You are not safe from a crash or hard drive failure, so regular backups are essential.

As for the reinstallation, it is the last resort, and everything will have to be deleted for it to be effective.

The link I provided above is to contact them by phone; I think having a live interlocutor should be easier.

Try to contact them tomorrow, and in the meantime, maybe someone else from the forum will have an idea and will point it out to you.

Thank you for your time and your responses :)

I will try to contact support, but yes, someone in person will probably be able to give better advice, I think.
