The VU meters are moving,

      If the tuner’s VU meter indicates a sufficient reception level, it is not an antenna problem.

      There isn't much risk of error with the connections.

      On the amplifier, you have a tuner input with two RCA jacks to connect.

      You can also use the Aux input; that should work as well. This will help you determine if the Tuner input has a problem.
      If you get no results on both inputs (Aux and Tuner), the problem is probably with the tuner.

      Check the cables.
      Also check the contacts. This is essential on older equipment. Contact cleaners like F2 are very useful.
