Facebook Dating Shortcut

I would need an honest answer please. My boyfriend had the heart of Facebook Dating in his shortcuts bar. He told me it was downloaded during the update.
I checked and he didn't have an active profile in the app.
Do you think it's possible that the shortcut appeared automatically during an update without him having an account?

    Yes, it's possible to have Facebook Dating without intentionally installing it; it comes with the Facebook app during an XYZ update.

        Hello, what if there was a red dot but Facebook Messenger isn't activated?

        Because when I was on it but on pause, there was the logo at the top, now that I have deactivated my account, the logo is no longer there.

        So, based on my deduction, if the logo is at the top, it means the person is using it.
