Hello,
My new Poco X4 smartphone purchased at Darty does not allow me to directly call 15. Even if I dial 15, I'm directed to 112. On my screen, it shows emergency call instead of 15.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue?
Thank you
Configuration: Android / Chrome 100.0.4896.127

Hello,
A number of phones intended for the European market are programmed for 112, as it is the European emergency call number.
Moreover, a unique platform test is ongoing in certain departments, where calls to 15, 17, and 18 are all redirected to this unique platform.
In any case, this doesn't change much about the situation, since the respondent at 15 will redirect the call if deemed appropriate and after the potential assessment by the regulating doctor, either to 18 or will ask you to contact a general medical service or emergency service.-

As I illustrated, the emergency call mode that allows access when, for one reason or another, the line is no longer functioning is hard-coded into the phones and precisely for this reason: I don't think it's possible to modify it.
And I don't see the point in doing so either; in any case, the interlocutor is an operator who is not a doctor and the same amount of time will be spent directing the call to the SAMU, firefighters or ambulances, or a private or on-call doctor...
The potential malfunctions are also the same for various reasons.
Geographically, the SAMU standard is departmental (in the prefectures in the province), which means that even if the event occurs 2 km from the local hospital and its SMUR, the latter can only be triggered by the departmental level, which sometimes may ignore (public place heart attack, experienced case) the possible place of intervention and increase the response time.
I also very recently experienced a three-cushion billiards episode concerning a person suffering from two "small" heart attacks (without loss of consciousness) very close together, where the SAMU sent me to SOS Médecins and the Versailles high school for a long time before the decision to intervene was made.
More generally, the structure suffers from the refusal of the authorities to legislate to regulate the geographic placement of doctors and for prefects to requisition, whereas on-call doctors only operate on a voluntary basis; this situation is likely partially responsible for the congestion of emergency lines by minor issues and perhaps also sometimes leads to the failure to properly recognize a real life-threatening emergency.
In any case, it significantly increases the response time. -

To be in real-time contact with 15, you need to call 15, but I can't do it with my mobile.
Thank you for taking the time to explain to me, but it doesn't solve my problem at all.
I just wanted to know if there was a way to reconfigure my phone to access this number.-
I already told you no, unless your phone is rooted and you are a confirmed Android expert, in which case you can have fun reprogramming, here are the sources:
