Chrome is slow for Facebook

Hello,

Since yesterday I can no longer go on Facebook from Chrome, the page opens normally (no more loading logo at the top), I can see my friends displayed on the side, etc., but the posts do not appear (black rectangle instead), or after a very long time, 2 posts show up, I scroll down and it's black again, after a very long time, 2 new posts, etc...

I hear my fans running at full speed (laptop), so I check the task manager, and I see that Chrome is using over 3000MB of memory and 80% of the CPU...

On Edge it works, it uses around 1000MB and little CPU. It lags a bit, but I'm not used to this browser so it might be normal. In any case, all posts display without any problem. My fans are still running a bit fast (a sign that the PC is struggling).

I don't know much, so I've tried everything I know: clearing history and cookies, cleaning the PC with Glary Utilities, scanning for viruses with Avast and malware with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome... Nothing works.

Outside of Facebook it might lag a bit sometimes, but I'm not sure if it's more than usual. I don't think so.

Thank you for your help ;)

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 101.0.4951.41

Hello everyone,
If you have an ad-blocker on Chrome, disable it for the Facebook page.
My wife had a similar problem yesterday afternoon. However, no issues on Edge.
We'll have to see if it's the same problem.
It doesn't hurt to try....
