HP USB-C Dock G5 - Connection Issue

Hello,

I have a black HP USB C G5 dock.

It keeps going into network sleep and I often have to restart it manually to re-establish the connection.

Has anyone else experienced this type of problem? How can it be resolved, please?

Hello

Yes, I've seen that before, it's the HP drivers for the docking station (it's done at the PC level but it's good for managing the connection with the dock). If everything is up to date, there might be a hardware deficiency, but that's quite rare.
If it's a G5, I assume it's no longer under warranty.

Hello and thank you Bav for your quick response.
Indeed, the station is no longer under warranty and I'm being told that a firmware update needs to be done!!
I don't know how to do that.
Do we connect to it? If yes, how?
I have to admit that this problem drives me crazy every time it occurs lol.
Especially since it's random.

You simply need to use the HP tool available on their website for general updates of the PC.
Just make sure that the PC is docked.
