Hello,
I need to go to Italy to a place without WiFi, and I would like to connect to a VPN on a computer. Is it possible to do this by sharing the connection from my phone?

Configuration: Android / Chrome 99.0.4844.73

    Hello

In theory, nothing prevents it. The phone simply serves as an access point, nothing more, nothing less. Once the connection is established, the VPN will function normally.
    Best regards

Thank you, so no need to root my phone or install the VPN on it, the VPN will be used to connect me to my French Netflix.

A VPN is an encrypted connection between point A and point B, nothing more.

      Hi,
it's not a VPN then, just a distant NAT intended to mask your Italian IP address from Netflix.
I know it's become common language in marketing in this form, but the usage is still improper and it’s increasingly tracked by TV channels, for rights reasons that I also disapprove of; they should be linked to the subscription and not to geographical location.
But anyway, I also disapprove of using mobile networks to watch TV; they're not made for that.
Netflix detects and blocks many of them, be careful, have you tested it in France?

No, I haven't subscribed to a VPN yet, I'm researching first. Thank you.
