Hello,

When I share my smartphone's connection on my PC, the connection is way too slow; I have to wait 2 minutes to reach a page, well, it depends on the sites.

I did a connection test and here’s what I got:

DOWNLOAD 8.76 mbps
UPLOAD between 0.49 and 1 mbps maximum

and my box connection is a little over 15 mbps. I remember that a few months ago when I activated the hotspot, it was faster than the box, it was over 30 mbps, and I don’t remember the upload speed, and now it's so slow. Well, it's been like this for several weeks now; in my opinion, it's an external problem, is there nothing I can do about it?

Thanks

    Good evening,

It is indeed possible for the speed using a smartphone's 4G to be lower than that of ADSL, even though it's still quite rare.

It seems to depend on the times you connect: in the evening, it's not great.
    Currently (6:45 PM), I have about 35 Mb/s in download speed; during off-peak hours, I exceed 100 Mb/s.

There isn't much to do: you can still connect your smartphone via cable (USB modem) instead of using Wi-Fi.

      Good evening,

I tested the USB tethering, and it's even worse:
      0.10 Mbps UPLOAD
      0.35 Mbps DOWNLOAD

A few months ago, I had about the same as you: 30-40 mb/s and now I have hardly anything for several weeks, months (no matter the time) even at 3 a.m. it doesn't improve and I've tested on several PCs... for example, when I upload a 2-3 MB photo to an online host, I wait at least 4 minutes etc... well, there are often connection problems at my place, small village, either the box doesn't work, or the sharing, or both....

Have you tested the speed directly on your smartphone?

Use the Speedtest app, for example.

Yes, I use SpeedTest. I just ran the test directly on my smartphone with the app (on Wi-Fi and tethering) but it's pretty much the same as on PC. Too bad, thanks anyway.

Good. We know what to expect: The problem probably isn't on your end.

Just check that the speed is correct on your smartphone when you're moving and in more favorable conditions.
