Hello,
I have a GIGASET A420A cordless phone, and for some time now, one of the handsets doesn't hold a conversation; it seems to be discharging. I've changed the batteries, but the problem persists. The other 2 handsets work very well. Is it possible to buy a replacement handset and connect it to the base? Or what solutions are available?
Thank you for your help

    Hello
Have you tried the handset by placing it on another base (since you have several stations...)? It might be the base charger that is the issue!!

Yes, it is possible to "pair" other phones that meet the same DECT standard, even from another brand, although Gigaset phones are well-regarded.

    Cheers
If my answer helped you, a little thumbs up would be great... If it's resolved, that's perfect.

    Hello,
I changed the batteries but the problem persists
These are not batteries that were in place but rechargeable batteries...
I hope you’ve indeed used rechargeable batteries as a replacement, as there is a risk of fire or even explosion if they are regular batteries.

As Macintosh wisely suggests, try changing the handsets around; it could be that the charger of the handset that is not working is the cause...
First, check that the outlet supplying it is functional and that the charger cable is properly connected.
