Unlink layers photoshop

Hello,

I'm a beginner with Photoshop but I've managed to incorporate my daughter into a class photo (she was absent that day)

So far, I've managed to place her behind in the photo, fix the crack issues, and I now have 3 layers:
1) the background
2) the group of students
3) my daughter

Now I want to correct the hue of my daughter, but the saturation adjustment is applying to the background layer and not to her layer.

Also, a basic question, how can I ungroup the layers so that I can finally and easily correct the hue on the relevant layer? A priori this might be related not to linking or grouping (since nothing has been created) but to the order of the layers, although I can't be certain :)

Thank you in advance
Have a good evening

    hello

create a clipping mask (means: applies only to this layer)

You need to do it on the layer above your daughter's. The one that corrects the colors.

Here is what I could achieve with these adjustments

    brightness/contrast
    color balance
    hue saturation

and a little blur correction on the boy

    Thank you for your response
In the meantime, I bypassed this by selecting the face and we can directly correct the hue.

For your information and without wanting to impose, is it possible to retrieve the hue from another face to apply it partially?

Because indeed, even with the saturations, brightness, colors, I can't achieve the same settings..
    Thank you in advance.

    Use the black mask

    to erase the modification
with the white, you can restore the modification

    Hello,

I'm not replying with the same username because I had to log in to post an image :)

Thank you for your response, but in my case, it concerns the skin tone.
On the left is the face of a group member with a specific tone
On the right is the photo I want to insert, but I need to adjust the skin tone, and no matter how much I correct the exposure, saturation, and brightness, I can't achieve that..
Any idea how I could proceed, please?

    Thank you for your feedback
So if I understand correctly, I need to first adjust the entire group to fix the blur and then
    brightness/contrast
    color balance
    hue saturation

    as you indicated?

Correct the blur on the group

edit the girl with settings similar to those I used

    1) Hue saturation 2) Color balance 3) Brightness/contrast
