Unplugging and plugging back a box: Reset?

Good evening,

I hope you can help me and I also hope I'm in the right place.
Let me explain: I finally found a way to block the Wi-Fi for my son who is permanently connected to the internet with online games, by setting time restrictions from the internet page to manage my router.
So, the block takes effect every night from 00:30 to 05:00 in the morning. However, this morning when I woke up, there was no internet, nothing at all. I strongly suspect my son of having messed with the cables last night, of having unplugged them, and not reattached them properly... which he completely denies! (Naughty boy)! When I got home from work earlier, the router was moved and the internet was working normally... how strange!
Anyway, I really think he has indeed tampered with the cables and I would like to know if that is the case, does the Wi-Fi block get canceled when you unplug or press buttons on the router?
Looking at the internet page that manages my router, in the "Scheduled Wi-Fi" tab, it said "Disabled".
Thank you in advance for helping me understand.

Have a nice end of the day.

Sincerely,

Delphine

    Hi,
I'm not going to repeat once again "it's better to convince than to coerce" and educating also means learning to respect constraints.
Underhanded tricks behind someone's back when there's no more trust work both ways, here's another proof.
The factory reset clearly means we return to default settings; that's the purpose.
Have you at least changed the default admin password?
Finally, 3h to 5h seems like a very short cut-off time; I would go for at least 23h-8h, even longer depending on the age, even if it's vacation time, sleep is more important.
But, I guess that next to this, he has a mobile and can use mobile tethering.
