Hello; I have an Orange Fiber connection, are the precautions in case of a thunderstorm the same as for an ADSL connection and if so, what should I do to protect the box? Thank you all.

Hi,
why the ONT?
no more than him or the rest.
If with ADSL, that is to say a copper line, it is very common for lightning to enter through the telephone line, especially if it is overhead, there is no risk with fiber:
fiber is insensitive to lightning as it does not conduct electricity, which is one of its advantages.
On the other hand, as mentioned, the risk remains the same concerning electrical power supply, but here everything is affected, especially what is grounded, so the fiber box, which in principle isn't, is less of a concern.
However, a tower PC can directly take it and transmit it through the ethernet cable.
a laptop is more insulated, a wireless one is even more so, of course.
Powerline adapters are also the most exposed to receiving lightning and transmitting it to the rest of the network.
