Hello,
I would like to set up a schedule for my future company (call center).
When it comes to scheduling, I have no skills.
Here are the constraints:
4 working days, 35 hours.
Shifts can overlap
At least 2 consecutive days off
I plan to hire 4 or 5 people... We'll see, depending on the schedule (I am not included in this schedule).
I don’t know if I’m in the right place to ask these kinds of questions.
If not, could you let me know where to get information?
Thank you in advance,
Yannick
Configuration: Macintosh / Chrome 96.0.4664.110

Hello.
"I don't know if I'm in the right place to ask this kind of question. "
This is not just a simple question, but a request for IT services ...
There are many possibilities online to learn Excel, particularly about scheduling like
https://www.cours-gratuit.com/modeles-excel/modele-sur-excel-de-planning-annuel-gratuit
which offers numerous links, such as
https://www.business-plan-excel.fr/planning-reservation-chambre-excel-gratuit/
But the best option would be to place an order with a consulting firm specializing in office software, which can meet all the specifications, integrate professional standards, and ensure updates and follow-up afterward. It comes at a cost, but given the nature of the business, it's wiser to work on a guaranteed tool.

It's not difficult to create a schedule manually on Excel, but the problem seems more arithmetic than computer-related: mathematically, to work 24/7 or 168 hours a week, you need (rounding up) 5 people at 35 hours each without any overlap, which likely makes it impossible (at least to comply with the maximum daily working hours allowed and the legal rest periods between each work session; I haven't tested it: 10 hours max per day with a 20-minute break every 6 hours and a minimum of 11 hours between each work period) such an arrangement.
Thank you for your response.
This seems very complex, so I think I will call on someone to help me with this task.
I will take your advice and consult a consulting firm in office automation.
I realize that the most challenging part of starting a business remains employee management..
Employees and customers are what ruin the job of a business owner...
Best regards.
