Selecting text in a PDF

Solved

Hello everyone,
I can no longer select text in my PDF documents, neither in those I created myself nor in those from elsewhere.
I have Adobe Acrobat Reader on my PC. In the document properties, security tab, I see that "document copying" is allowed.
In fact, I can't get the text selection cursor to appear, only the little hand.
It's quite annoying, especially since I feel like it was working before.
Is there a problem with the version of Acrobat??? What do you recommend?
Thank you for your suggestions!

I found it!!! You have to click on the arrow: the hand transforms into a cursor.
    Obviously :)

    Hello
Have you tried: Ctrl+A (to select all), then Ctrl+C (to copy)
    And you paste it elsewhere....
Of course, if you are on MacOS, it's more like "Command" instead of Ctrl ;-)
    See you later

      Hello Macintosh!
Thank you for your response. The solution works... only if I want to copy/paste ALL the text, not just a few lines.
In the meantime, I found this: if I choose to open my PDF document with MS Edge, then the selection cursor appears and it's possible to select. That partly solves the problem.
It's strange though not to be able to do this by opening the document in the default Pdf Reader (like before). I still have the impression that it's a simple mistake on my part, but which one?
      If anyone has an idea...
