Hello,
I would like to be required to enter a password when I go to Google. Indeed, currently, if I go to Google, I have instant access to my gmail and all the sites I've saved as favorites. How can I avoid this hacking risk? Would a software like Dashlane serve as a barrier to this hacking risk?
Thank you in advance for your advice and insights.
Sincerely,
Loïc

Hello,
You have access because your passwords are saved by the browser. For what you want, never check the boxes "stay connected" (or equivalent) and do not let your browser save your passwords and log in automatically. To do this, change the options: Autofill settings / passwords, uncheck "offer to save passwords" and "automatic login". (Depending on your browser, the labels may vary a bit)
Best regards.

Hello
For that, you need to "remove" the already saved password from your web browser!!
You have to open the browser settings (which one again??) and in the advanced settings, in the Password Management.
Then reconnect to your Google account (Gmail, etc..) and when validating, a "sneaky +/-" message at the top will prompt you to save, choose "Never save".
See you later
If the answer helped you, a little thank you would be super nice...
Is it resolved? The green button at the top is good!
Let he who has never opened a user manual cast the first mouse ;-)

Hello
Have you actually read my messages??
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95606?hl=fr&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop
You are deleting the password Already stored for Gmail (since it doesn't ask you for it anymore!!!)
Then you go back to your Gmail and There when it asks you for it, you enter it and PROHIBIT Chrome from saving it (Do Not Save)!!
See you!

You can also completely request a global password when opening your browser with an extension, for example for Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc.):
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lockpw/kjcloihghgncbdkaafgkckbokjnehfmo?ucbcb=1
This is only useful to protect against "physical" access to your PC, if you leave it lying around with your session unlocked for example ;)

In fact, this would mean that we could only log into our Google account after entering the password?

Otherwise, use private browsing https://www.commentcamarche.net/securite/confidentialite/1255-ouvrir-une-fenetre-de-navigation-privee/
You will have to type in your password.
Best regards.
