Hello,
I apologize for my probably obvious question to you, but my son received an MP4 player from the brand Essentiel B and a JBL Bluetooth speaker. Both devices connect, but the player indicates "incompatible format" when we try to stream his music. Could you please enlighten me?
Thank you very much :)

Hello,
It is probably due to the audio file formats that are not compatible..??
You need to read the JBL speaker's manual to know which audio files it can play. On one hand
Then, the player labeled "MP4" does not necessarily contain MP4 files... you need to connect it to a PC to check the nature of these files and their "extension"... On the other hand.
It is worth noting that MP4 is generally for video and MP3 for audio... music and such.
You also need to make sure that the Bluetooth of the player is properly paired with that of the JBL (the BT version). -
Thank you for your response, it's about the JBL GO2 speaker, it should read MP3 formats, I don't understand...

Yes, I have gone through the technical specifications... this speaker reproduces == amplifies, all sounds that reach it, regardless of format or anything else...
The incompatibility may not be with the music...?? But with the Bluetooth connection that may not be the same version..?? For the JBL, it's version 4.1... so we still need to check the one for the MP4
Is the battery well charged..?? And is the pairing between the two confirmed by a light or a message..
So is it the MP4 player that indicates the incompatibility..?? Was it purchased at the same time..? Or is it a separate purchase..??... Does it have a brand and model..??
It should be possible to pair the JBL with a smartphone and have it play music via Bluetooth..?
If it's brand new... the warranty should apply, you need to go back to see the seller.. -
