Game launches on the wrong screen

Hello,
I use a laptop with an additional external monitor for gaming.
The external monitor is set as the main screen, so the laptop screen serves as my "second screen". Both screens have the same resolution (1920x1080).
All of my video games launch correctly on the external monitor except for one that launches on the laptop screen, which is not what I want.
The game is World of Subways 3, which is not very recent, dating back to 2011.
While browsing the forums, I did not find a similar issue with this game.
I am on Windows 10.
I tried to switch the game to windowed mode to move it to the external monitor without success. The window does not move. When I click on the top edge, I enter the game.
I also tried Win + Shift + Right/Left to change screens, but that didn’t work either.
I attempted a few compatibility modes (Win 7, Win XP), still no luck.
Finally, I noticed an intriguing point. When I launch the game, just before the window appears, I see that all of my icons move to my laptop screen (as if it becomes the main screen again when the game launches). The opposite happens when I close the game.
If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them. I'm at a loss on my end.
