Hello,
As I am going to dive into virtualization, I tried to download an ISO of Ubuntu. Unfortunately, my antivirus (emsisoft) blocks the download by detecting an intrusion. In the log, event category, the detection is named proxad.net. What is it about?
Configuration: Linux / Firefox 31.0

Hello
Maybe it's not a virus file or an infection; it could be that there's an automatic opening of this site proxad.net
If you want to stop the alerts from your antivirus, add it to the exclusion list
But I advise you to run a scan with this software to remove the virus if there is one:

Hi,
"Proxad.net" is one of the domain names used by the company Iliad/Free; in this case, it is one of their download servers for ISO files and other software repositories, so the link theoretically poses no risk.
By the way, for what reason was it detected, if that's specified?
Best,
