Good evening everyone
On a refurbished PC running Windows 7 Pro, I want to change the password at startup.
I tried using the ctrl alt + del combination with entering the old password and then the new password, but unfortunately it did not work and the following message appeared:
"The configuration information could not be read by the domain controller because the computer is not available or access was denied."
Does anyone know how to proceed??

Hello,
Start your PC with the current password. Then go to the control panel, then user accounts, administrator account, change the password!

Good evening
Thank you for the information
However, after the user account, there is no tab: administrator account ?? -
Hello
The PC is a "member" of a corporate domain, and changing the password is linked to a user of that domain. Without being able to contact the domain controller server, it is therefore impossible to change the password. The only solution is to install Windows cleanly after recovering the data on an external drive. It is impossible to remove this PC from the domain without knowing the password and the domain administrator account.
One can only hope that the domain's policies regarding password expiration are permissive enough; otherwise, you risk no longer being able to access the PC if you cannot renew this password.
