Do not respond. You should never respond to such threats of blackmail which show cybercriminals that your email address is "valid" and that you are interested in the blackmail message they sent you.
Do not pay the ransom. Even if you have doubts. Indeed, no threat execution has been demonstrated so far, and you would therefore be unnecessarily fueling this criminal system.
