Issue with ZEDEO

Hello everyone,
I have been using ZEDEO for a long time to create personal archiving files.
I particularly like the short segments of France 2's news broadcasts (I connect to the address
https://www.francetvinfo.fr/replay-jt/france-2/13-heures/, I get the news segmented by
titles (which prevents me from having to record the entire news broadcast!!), I choose my title, get its URL, and then
process it with ZEDEO... it was working perfectly until September 13th. Since then, all my attempts have ended with the error message 303 "no stream found"... Disaster, as some of my files are now incomplete.
I contacted FranceInfo and spoke to someone who had never heard of ZEDEO
and who couldn't tell me if something had changed on their end on September 13th or the day before.
Maybe it was me who made a wrong system manipulation (update or something else), although it still works for ARTE for example, so...

Thank you for this quick response, unfortunately Captvty does not allow for "cutting" a news segment into titles, too bad!

Hello,
I uninstalled Captivty that I had installed a long time ago. I reinstalled it and now it works. I feel like I installed an older version because the interface matches the old versions. In reality, it’s the interface of the new version.
Now, it works. I did this about 15 days ago.
The version (3.0.0.63519 2011-2018, Guillaume) no longer works.
The one that works is: (2011-2021, Guillaume).

However, for Zédéo, I still haven’t managed to find the right version. Too bad, it was really very convenient.

The correct version of Captvty is Captvty 2.9.4.1.

Hello, thank you for the reply.
However, I have no problem with Captvty but rather with Zedeo for France 2 primarily (for Arte it works, for example!)

As I said, for me the problem is with France Télévisions (my contact, not knowing about the existence of Zedeo... what a joke! wasn't able or willing to help me). However, due to a problem with Captvty and ARTE, I use Zedeo and it works very well! As always, there's a reason; the hardest part is having the flash of genius in your research...

Hello,

I don't see why the "first-level" contact at France Télévisions would need to know about Zedeo any more than about all the streaming software out there (why a joke?) and even less why, even if that were the case, they would need to be concerned about third-party software.

That said, all streaming platforms that allow recording are under scrutiny and seem to be facing challenges; it seems to me that the recent tightening of a European directive regarding copyright is not unrelated.

I just want to point out that the whole of France (at least those who are interested) knows that Zedeo is the alternative or even the unofficial replacement for Pluzz, which is indeed a France Télévision product. Anyway, if there is a European directive, why does Zedeo block on the French public television and not on Arte, which is a European channel? Are the Germans definitively smarter than us? Well, I'm here to talk about IT, not politics!

Zedeo/Neo-net are obscure English law companies from which it seems impossible to know the authors or legal references, and their only connection to Pluzz is that they are supposed to enable streaming of France Télévision (as was done on the same site ADSL TV, which they likely took over without rights and has not worked for a long time).

France Télévision, therefore, has no unofficial or official link to them except that the software is supposed to allow recording of these streams (but this is also the case for all illegitimate streaming platforms, giving them no validation from the producer of these streams), and it does not, I repeat, have to know of either unless it has explicitly authorized them.

I don’t see what politics has to do with this matter, except that it is possible, as I suggested but know nothing about, that a certain state has chosen measures not (yet?) implemented by others.

Or that a new technical standard prevents it, at the same time that one cannot rely on something hastily written to reflect this situation as one would expect from a real software that has a proper standing.

And patience, stubbornness??? I was in charge of the hotline for a large French company for 25 years... but specialized in large systems... so quite ordinary in micro and all satellite software. Now all alone, on my laptop, I'm managing as I can (and not too badly). Anecdote: at the beginning, due to insomnia, I dealt with a rather well-regarded hotline from Quebec. Regarding a specific problem, I was told that what I wanted was impossible. I replied that impossible is not French, and he hung up on me around 11 p.m. By 6 a.m. I had solved the impossible. In my profile, I mentioned that I am Breton... in fact, it's worse, I am Bigouden! What you just wrote to me (thank you) reminds me too much of the dozens of sterile meetings I endured in my professional environment, from which I left, boss present or not, saying that while chatter might be nice, I had work to do and I hated wasting time.
You will understand that I no longer wish to receive this kind of messages.
I'm still waiting a bit, but I will probably leave your forum, I feel I have other things to do.

You gave exactly the same response to bazfile, there's no point in just copying and pasting it.

Now, feel free to rewrite the software in question if the sources are open and if you have access to the nature of the streams to be processed and since you say you have skills in this area.

Since you're the only one who knows how to work and you have already wasted time, why do you keep doing it?

You don't really understand the situation.
Zedeo hasn't been updated for several years; it's normal for it to stop working eventually, France TV has nothing to do with it; it was pointless to call them about software they have nothing to do with. Apparently, Neonet, the publisher of this software, isn't really taking care of Zedeo anymore and isn't updating it; that's their right and their choice since this software is free. What do you want? Software comes and goes, that's life.

The solutions can only come from the software publisher and certainly not from a forum or FranceTV.

It's not obvious answers that we're asking for, but rather hints of solutions. As for the publisher you seem to have mentioned, it's just a name everyone knows. What we, the lowly, would like to obtain are contact details through which we might get some answers.

In that case, you should be able to find out on your own; here we are not managers but volunteers, and this is not a hotline but a forum.

When downloading software on the download page everything is indicated, and in the help section of the software as well. What you should understand is that free software does not offer customer support; its developer stopped development on this software, there is nothing else to say, and I don't think he wants to be contacted by anyone.
