Hello to all enthusiasts,
I have an ASUS B450M motherboard with blue BIOS. RYZEN 5 3600, 32 Gb
Two M.2 NVME SSDs and a 4 To SATA HDD.
My second SSD is used every month to clone my first system SSD for backup reasons. (and it once saved my PC)
While testing the PC's ability to run Windows 11, I got the answer: No, because it doesn't have secure boot.
However, in the BIOS, secure boot is indeed active. In fact, it shows 'User'.
On the other hand, in Boot\CSM, if I set 'UEFI only' on 'Boot device control', it tells me:
'Due to Microsoft Secure Boot regulations, ensure the Microsoft signed UEFI driver is contained in the plugged PCI-E based storages including M.2 SSD before set the launch CSM to disabled. Otherwise, the PCI-E based storages will be only available for data drive usage.'
If I still set 'Boot device control' to 'UEFI only', the PC boots to the BIOS and not to Windows...
Does this mean that my Sabrent M.2 SSD doesn't have the required driver?
I apologize for being a bit lengthy, but I don't quite understand. I hadn't heard of an integrated UEFI driver in an SSD...
Thank you in advance for your help if you have any ideas or information.
