No TNT channels on LG Smart TV
Solved
Hello,
I just bought an LG 43UP75006LF smart TV today to replace an old flat screen.
I still want to use the digital terrestrial television (TNT) to watch TV, but I can't find the TNT channels.
I connected my coaxial cable, which was already used for the previous TNT decoder, directly to the new TV. I have a satellite dish on the roof.
I did some research by plugging the coaxial into the antenna input and then into the satellite input, but I got the same result every time.
I tried setting the location to the Netherlands, as that's often a solution, but it doesn't work.
I finally connected the coaxial cable to the old decoder and then the decoder via HDMI to the new TV, and it works.
So yes, I could manage that way, but the goal was to get rid of that decoder since the new TV has it integrated.
Any idea what the problem might be, please?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
Your television has two antenna inputs:
- an RF socket (DTT antenna)
- a satellite socket (dish)
Presumably, you have a dish and no "antenna"
In order to decode the signals from the dish, you need a CI+ card (Canal or Fransat)
You say you previously had a decoder... it is likely a satellite decoder that connects via HDMI and will give you the same image as before on your old screen.
To eliminate this decoder, you need to get a CI module

It is very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...

Do you have a reference for this module that you could recommend?
Are there any compatibility issues to be aware of?
Thank you very much!
But in my opinion, the card from your decoder will not work in the television.
Please contact the seller to explain the procedure for using the television with a CI module.
Moreover, the card you have is the result of a subscription that will need to be transferred for use with the CI module.
What subscription do you have? Canalsat?
