Image quality issue on Doro 8080

I just acquired a Doro 8080 phone for my mother. The setup went well. Everything seems to work fine but the images are of very poor quality: bad color rendering... it almost looks like we are looking at a negative...
Does anyone have any idea what the origin of this problem might be?
