Sound control via the TV remote

Hello,

I bought a JBL home theater, connected via HDMI ARC to my TCL television. It turns on and off with my TV remote, but the sound can't be controlled with my TV remote; I have to use the home theater remote. I checked the T link settings, and everything is connected correctly.
Can you help me with the settings that might be blocking this, please? I can't find the solution.
