I want to connect an optical cable to my LG webOS TV. But it seems like I'm missing a piece because the cable isn't held in at all.
Thank you

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 91.0.4472.124

    Hello
The Toslink connector is generally covered by a small flap.

You need to firmly insert the optical cable whose connector has a square base (note that there is a 3.5 version (like a jack) for the Combo connectors found on laptops (among others).

    See you soon

    Hello,
there is also generally a protection (plastic cap) on optical cables.
this protection must be removed before connection...
Moreover, on the television, there is certainly, in the 'Sound' or 'Audio' menu, a setting to enable the optical output.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
    Especially when it's not there...

    Hi,

If the little flap / door / panel / tab is torn off, you can hold it in place with a hot glue gun.
