Hello,
I recently had an issue with my water cooling, a leak at the processor pump. It leaked (in order) onto the Wi-Fi card, the graphics card, and then into the bottom of the PC. Below is the power supply, protected by the layout of the case, but it was still soaked.
After drying everything, putting back my old cooling, etc., the PC turns on, but it shuts down abruptly after 15-20 seconds; I never get past the Windows loading screen.
I suspect that something has burned out, but do you think the fact that it turns on and runs is a good sign? Would a new motherboard fix it?
I can’t tell where the problem might be coming from; in my opinion, every component could be damaged, although I would lean more towards the motherboard.
What are your thoughts?
Configuration: Android / Chrome 92.0.4515.115

Hello,
What is the liquid used..? Probably some Glycol from the same family as that of cars.
In my opinion, you need to disassemble everything, separate the components, motherboard, RAM, processor, the cards, the rear connectors... unplug everything, hard drive, CD drive, etc... Remove the CMOS battery.
Remove as much liquid as possible... then clean each element with a wet toothbrush using warm water slightly mixed with dishwashing liquid... The vertical card, so it can drain..... Consider using window cleaner...
Then let it dry for 24 hours in a ventilated area...
And reassemble after that, being very careful... you need to redo the thermal paste.
Let's say after that, you could still change the motherboard if it doesn't get repaired...
The problem is that you powered it on too quickly; if you burned components, there's no going back.
