Hello,
I received a fraudulent email and I downloaded a .pdf attachment on my Android phone. The file downloaded but did not open.
I started a security antivirus scan.
What do you advise me to do? Is there a risk?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Configuration: Android / SamsungBrowser 14.2

Hello
as long as you haven't opened it, you're not at risk; however, if you have a file manager, delete it!-

Hello,
I completely agree that the file manager you proposed is one of the best. It allows for very simple communication via wifi with other devices (tablet, computer).
But I don't see any possibility for file analysis at all. Does an antivirus need to be installed for it to be called upon?
To analyze a file, I often use an online scan with VirusTotal:

Hello,
When you receive an email with an attachment (like a PDF), this file is obviously downloaded in order to be read. This does not mean that it is saved on the smartphone.
That’s what happens to me.
If I want the file to be saved, I have to do it in the email manager (Gmail) or in the reading program (Acrobat Reader).
If the file has indeed been saved, it should normally be found in the Downloads.
Also check in New files.
Also explore the main storage or the SD card, if you have one.
If you can't find it, then it hasn't been saved.
No need to look any further!
