Remove family link on Facebook

Hello, I'm looking for how to remove a family link with one of my friends on Facebook. In the explanation given above, I can find up to the step: "family and relationship" However, it mentions a small triangle next to the person's name, but I don't have any triangle. Just 2 logos (options):
_ "friends" (2 head icons) or
_ 3 small dots which open to only 2 options: delete or edit.

Edit only offers other statuses like cousin, uncle, etc.
And delete... but if I delete, will it only remove the brother status or the friend completely?? Thank you for your answers.
