Unable to send data from my Samsung to the PC.

Question

Hello everyone, I just changed my phone, I switched from a Samsung A10S to an A60 and everything works fine except when I want to transfer data from my phone to my PC or vice versa, it shows me the error: Error copying the file or folder A device attached to the system is not functioning correctly. I enabled developer mode and checked USB debugging but still nothing. Just so you know, the problem is not with the PC as I tried with two PCs and still the same issue, and I can transfer data with my old phone without any problems. I've really searched everywhere without result (Google, YouTube, on a bunch of sites and forums) but still nothing except a YouTube video mentioning the same problem but for iPhones. For your information: The PC sees the phone perfectly, I can access the data and do whatever I want except for transferring between the two devices. Phone model: Samsung Galaxy A60 (sm a6060), Android 11, One UI 3.1. Everything is up to date.

Good evening and thank you for your response. I downloaded the app but it only serves to back up the phone and does not transfer other files. However, thanks to the app, I was able to download drivers for my phone, and now the error message no longer appears, but as soon as I start transferring a large file (for example, a movie), the transfer time gradually goes from a few minutes to several hours (like for a 3GB movie, it can display up to 1-2 hours).

Hello,  I don't see why we would need to go through software, even if it's produced by Samsung. I have an old Galaxy S4 and I can access the gallery directly, for example, by connecting via USB.  I also use software downloaded from Google Play called Cx File Explorer, which allows me to access my NAS over the network and perform all operations. Maybe look in that direction (be careful with the name, many explorers have similar names).   In the description of Smart Switch, it states:  It is possible to easily and quickly transfer data from a mobile device to a computer (PC or Mac) what data are these if not documents, files, images, videos? It can't be the device settings. I only used the software it replaced, and it handled the copy, transfer, etc. very well.   That said, I'm not an Android specialist, and I hope other contributors can provide some clarity.  It might also be worth considering a reset (after backing up data of course).

Hello and thank you for the response, As you said, normally we shouldn't have to use any software, but if the phone won't transfer, I don't know what else to do. This is my first Samsung phone to do this, knowing that I've had 3 or 4 before, which is why I came to seek your help. Who knows why Samsung says Smart Switch can transfer data but it doesn't work; the software only offers 3 services (backup, restore, and Outlook synchronization, I took pictures of the application that I will try to send you). Regarding the reset, I will wait; if after some time I find no solution, I might consider the reset. I will try your software to see if it works. But it can't be a permanent solution for me because I don't always have internet access outside the house.
