Hello,
I just had a scare with the sudden appearance of multiple overlaid icons on my screen, coming from a "security center," telling me that Windows has blocked something, that my hard drive is being destroyed, that I shouldn't close this message or restart my computer, and that I need to call a phone number displayed on my screen (a number that doesn’t respond!)...
Fortunately, another browser was open and I was able to activate my Windows Defender, which detected no anomalies.
I checked the incoming history and found this address: s3.eu-west-3.amazonaws.com
What is this and what should I do to resolve any potential issues with my computer?
Thank you in advance for your prompt response.
Best regards

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 91.0.4472.77

Hello,
nothing new, it's a very well-known scam, read carefully THIS PAGE, everything is explained there.

What you encountered is simply a web page that gives you a phone number for a fake support service, so it's more of a scam than a real infection. If you call the number provided and do what the scammer on the line asks you to do, you'll be conned out of a few hundred euros. Additionally, they install some useless and fake software that they charge you an arm and a leg for. What they are interested in is your money, not what's on your PC.
