Choppy preview on VideoPad

Hello,
The videos I drop into the video pad timeline are choppy from time to time in the preview while the CPU is at 50 to 100. The imported films are 4K 60 fps and come from a Xiaomi Mi9.
What is that due to?

Cm Gigabyte Aorus B450
Ryzen 7 CPU
RAM 16 GB 3200 MHz
SSD M.2 NVMe

    Not a big deal if it's only the preview. It's valid for all video editing software.
